Cowell Set To Revive Career

SIMON Cowell is planning a massive fightback after the worst week of his career.

The telly boss has been slammed for his treatment of women after biographer Tom Bower revealed he had sex with Dannii Minogue and ogled Cheryl Cole.

But now he’s lined up a series of moves to hit back at new rival The Voice.

He will overhaul The X Factor by getting rid of the boot camp and also stage a TV concert featuring previous reality show stars.

He is also considering an offer to write his own book to hit back at Bower’s unauthorised version.

Cowell’s bad week was marked by Bower’s revelations and friction in his relationship with his paymasters ITV.

But he is due to meet ITV boss Peter Fincham on Thursday.

Cowell knows he has to refresh The X Factor after The Voice won a new army of fans.

So he’ll get rid of the show’s second round boot camp, meaning an end to first-round sympathy votes.

Our insider said: “With The Voice featuring so many great singers he’s keen to keep his throne and wants to find the next Leona Lewis – not the next Jedward.”

His planned TV gig will be at Wembley Arena with Leona Lewis and One Direction tipped as potential headliners.

Publishers Harper Collins have offered Simon the chance to write his book and Cowell’s publicist Max Clifford is trying to arrange a prime-time telly interview next week to rescue his reputation.

Cowell is also looking to boost his career in the US by launching a new movie division of his company Syco under Adam Milano, a leading studio executive.

Cowell said: “I’m really pleased Adam is joining us.

“We have a lot of new projects coming up.”
