BOYBAND Loveable Rogues admit they had no interest in auditioning for X Factor after Simon Cowell had quit the show.
The talented trio instead applied for Britain’s Got Talent and viewers last night saw them sail through their audition.
Singer Te-Qhairo Eugene, 18, told the Daily Star Sunday: “We wanted to sing for Simon. He’s what everyone wants.”
And bandmate Sonn Murharrem, 18, added: “BGT’s a great platform and you get to see Simon Cowell, so it’s a no-brainer.”
The Essex group wowed the judges at their audition, with Alesha Dixon telling them: “I liked you because your personalities are shining in abundance.”
And guitarist Eddie Brett, 20, has revealed the lyrics for their original song Lovesick were inspired by a gay love affair in a telly biopic about Boy George.
He said: “I thought it was more powerful than Romeo and Juliet because it’s not a stereotypical love story.”
